Registration is now open for the Spring 2020 classes. The official dates of the next class are to be determined based on weather. It is expected classes will begin late March or early April. Classes are on Saturdays at 9:00 am for 10 weeks. Classes are held weather permitting. Classes will likely be held outside of Bonneville High School.

Come and work your team on an Obedience course in an indoor ring environment.
We will set up all levels pre-signed up (drop ins are welcome time allowing)
COST: $3.00/run Active Members $5.00/run Friends
All Entrants will be providing ring support to ensure a great environment
You must work two classes for each class you enter – no exceptions

Drop ins and multiple runs are welcome – time allowing.
We will have an indoor ring and ring equipment for each class pre-registered.
**All involved will take turns working the ring and with ring and site clean-up.**
This is a fun new option being offered through the Upper Snake River Valley Dog Training Club. As such the club’s code of conduct and rules will be followed. Each participant is responsible for their own dog(s) and any disputes for misconduct are to be directed to the Club’s Leadership. All efforts will be made to provide a safe environment though there may still be a risk of injury. Each participant is responsible for any injury which may occur.

Classes will start on April 15th through June 3rd. We will have two classes, one at 6:00 pm and the other at 7:00 pm. Will be at Tautphaus Park.
If you are looking to build a stronger relationship with your dog, want to have fun, and are feeling the winter blues, this trick dog class is for you! Teaching your dog tricks isn’t only an enjoyable pass time for you; it is great mental and physical exercise for your dog! Tricks learned in this class can be both entertaining and practical, and will make your dog the hit of any party with tricks like play dead, spin, shake, paws up, and many more. At the end of our six-week course, you will have learned the skills to earn an AKC trick dog title (either Novice or Intermediate). We can’t wait for you and your dog to join us!

A foundation class ( 6pm ) and an advanced class ( 7:30pm ) will be offered starting Monday, October 7th.
Agility classes that will be offered starting August 21
The following classes will start on Wednesday, Aug 21st and go through Oct 9th, 2019.
Classes are held weekly on Wednesday at the scheduled time. Classes will be held at Tautphaus Park in Idaho Falls.
This June USRVDTC will offer the following obedience classes:

Agility 1 – Classes will start at 7:15 pm on April 17th, 2019. Classes will be weekly on Wednesdays for 1 hour. The class will go for 6 weeks. The Orientation for Agility 1 will be held at the park at 6:00 pm on April 16th, 2019. Handlers are required to attend without their dogs.
Agility 3 – Classes will start at 6:00 pm on April 17th, 2019. Classes will be weekly on Wednesdays for 1 hour. The class will go for 6 weeks. There is no Orientation for Agility 3 since those participating in Agility 3 should already know the do’s and don’ts.
Agility 4 – We will also be having Agility 4 at Tautphaus Park on Tuesday nights at 6:00 pm starting 4/23/19 and ending 10/22/19 (weather permitting). The length of each practice depends on the number of participants, but is typically 1½ – 2 hours. Whoever wants to participate must enroll on-line (no maximum enrollment) in the class so cancellation notices can be issued in case of inclement weather. Those who sign-up are not required to participate every week. They may show up on Tuesday nights when able. Participants are asked to bring one or more obstacles from home. Each week a different set of courses is set up based on what obstacles show up; likewise, each practice session may have multiple courses. Although there are no assigned instructors for these practice sessions, many instructors participate to practice with their dogs, so they readily provide critiques and advice.

This year the club is excited to offer a tracking classes in the spring of 2019. This single class will cover essentials for both TD and TDU elements.

Please notice the later time of 7pm for the novice class from previous sessions.
Both classes have a 5 dog minimum. Should we not reach that minimum, the class will be postponed to a date later in the year. So invite your friends.
A winter agility foundation class will be offered starting February 6th, 2019. Class will start at 8:00 pm for one hour. It will continue every Wednesday for 8 weeks. This winter class will be held at the same building as the Boy Scout office.
Agility Foundation – Handling fundamentals using contact mats, perch boxes, cones and low jumps.
