Working Spot – “The Training Game” Competitive Obedience Seminar with Patty Biggins

$150.00$250.00

“I believe training is a game, with rules and goals. Once you and your dog understand both, you will increase your teamwork and enjoyment of your time together.”

Patty Biggins

Patty is a long-time exhibitor, trainer and teacher of competitive obedience. All of her personal dogs and many of her students’ dogs have been ranked nationally. She has many High in Trials as well as multiple High Combined awards, as have her students. While she started with Siberian Huskies, she quickly moved to Belgian Tervuren, a breed she remains with to this day. However, her students include breeds from every AKC recognized group. Her own dogs compete in multiple venues where they have achieved top level titles and she understands the challenges this presents. Her goal is for every team to achieve attitude and accuracy. Since each dog is an individual, this goal is best achieved when the owner learns to understand their dog and to constantly adjust their training to the needs of their partner.

She has given seminars throughout the Western states as well as in other countries. Every seminar is unique, designed with the needs of the participants in mind. In order to accomplish this, everyone with a working spot will need to fill out a questionnaire so the seminar can be customized. Groups or individuals on the floor will be there to work out specific problems and the working groups are small to give everyone a chance to receive individual help. There will be lots of play time for every dog as well as plenty of time for questions.

Comments from previous seminar goers.
